A new study has proven that women who take over the counter pain killers while pregnant may be endangering their male fetus’s future fertility. Acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and aspirin all act as hormonal ‘endocrine disruptors’ and interfere with normal male sexual development. Men affected by this issue often have their testicles drop later in life which is a sign of future poor sperm quality. One of the researchers said, "A single [acetaminophen] tablet (500 milligrams) contains more endocrine disruptor potency than the combined exposure to the ten most prevalent of the currently known environmental endocrine disruptors during the whole pregnancy".
