Q: I'm 26 and have been trying to conceive for two years. Husband's 38, but his tests were normal. Had initial blood tests which showed I have raised prolactin levels and raised blood glucose levels. All other hormone levels appeared normal. Periods are irregular, but only usually by a couple of weeks. Waiting on more blood tests (free androgen index, rubella, fasting blood glucose) and a HyCoSy (is this as painful as it sounds?). Can these test results all be put down to the same thing? Or are the odds stacked against me? Can't seem to find that raised prolactin and raised blood glucose are related. Any help and advice much appreciated.
